It took Nikon 3 extra years to release something "comparable", that right there is your loser.

If you know how to crop an image in post, you can get this 7:3 aspect ratio (or any arbitrary other) out of any image file. If you want a panoramic image, just be sure to shoot with a wide-angle lens (some by Laowa cover up to 135 degrees' field of view.) My OnePlus cellphone camera actually has an Xpan mode--officially sanctioned by Hasselblad!

In many ways this is an upgraded FX3, it has the same sensor and capabilities but also the AI chip from A7RV and a better internal mic which is not critical but a nice to have. Maybe use it as the A cam as the FX3 as the B cam :P - for the vlog like shots you want to pair it with a Viltrox 20mm f/2.8.

Something I've seen in other videos is not just showing the green/white AF boxes as proof of tracking, but actually showing the close up of the footage - if they actually were in focus! Try it?

I was about to pull the trigger on an OM-1 and two lenses and had the items in my shopping basket at OM's own online shopping site. However since I had a question regarding a current promotion connected to the OM-1 I did contact customer support via the link on their website. This was three days ago, and I haven't heard back since. If this is their pre-sales communication, I wonder how bad will post-sales communication be. That's just not good enough for me. You can make the best products, but if you don't communicate with customers properly it's not worth it.

Venice does look a little better but you have to understand if you're not comparing them side by side against each other the FX3, FX6, FX9 will easily hold it's own for any higher production value.

Panasonic S5 shoots this aspeect ratio, as well as the new Panasonic S9. Cool entry level cams for somebody if they wanna shoot that ratio..

Many digital camera brands allow you to display a 4x6 grid in the viewfinder/rear screen. Composing between any two vertical dividers will give you a 1:3 panoramic image. It's a great way to try out panoramic composition without buying a new camera. (Note: if you're using micro 4/3 or a digicam with a 4:3 ratio sensor, this tip will give you a 1:2.6666 ratio, almost exactly the same as the XPan's 1:2.7) (Edited for new info on 4:3 sensors)

Quite surprised at a lot of the takes here. I owned the r5 for 2 years before switching to a z8/9 setup. The viewfinder experience with the Nikons feels far more natural to me than it did with the Canon. ESP since I can eliminate ALL data overlay for an almost dslr like experience. The image quality to my eye is also far more pleasing than the canon. My r5 gave terrible textures for landscapes, and colors/tonal quality are some of the least pleasing I’ve ever seen from Canon. My Nikons by comparison feel like the perfect blend of modern mirrorless rendering and contrasty, punchy dslr quality. I do agree it is a bit oversharpened but that’s a very simple fix. And the lens selection makes things almost a no brainer especially considering that I currently adapt 2 Sony GM lenses with essentially native performance. Excited for the r5 mark ii however and really hope canon restores some of their former IQ glory.

you guys need to stop posting the FX3 and FX30 and removing it. We know nobody is buying it so i dont know what kind of sale tactic you guys are trying but its not working. It kind of tells us your not sure about the functionality of the cameras you guys are trying to sell 😒 Either that or work on your prices (most likely too high)

Also, 2:16 - my wildlife photography instincts kicking in I don't have a use case for these myself, but they do look like very fun toys, and the shots you can get with them are something else. Think I possibly saw one being used in a Red Bull ski jump record recently? Also it looks like the larger sensor of the Avata 2 helps with DR - much more balanced exposure when heading into/out of the tunnel, clipping was much less noticeable

Awesome review! I'm really confused between XT50 and XT30ii. I'm a parent to 5year old and my purpose is to capture memories of her and our family at home and while we are traveling. so, does the IBIS in XT50 really while while capturing the activities of my toddler for that extra $$ is that worth it? if not I would like to to put that extra money into buying lenses. Also can you please suggest two lenses that can cover my needs. I have an old Nikon D3200 with a kit and 35mm 1.8f as a beginner and I want to upgrade as it got too slow. Thanks a ton in advance.

take Sony a7 IV - i use it by self it do everything what need and that is really excellet camera - before i use a7 III it was great as well but a7 IV is another level

@4:35 - X-T50 does not have weather sealing, it does have a curved, more comfortable body. It's also significantly larger than x-t30ii, almost at X-T5 scale.
